Create a new empty card by selecting the Add Card + button that's above and below each card in a deck, then from the available options select CSV File.

Settings overview

Autodetect Data Types

Detect numerical and date values and convert them from text to their corresponding types.

If not enabled it will keep all values as text.

First Row is Headers

Use the first row as the names of each column.

If not enabled it will autogenerate column names like "C1", "C2" and so on.

Delimiter

The delimiter to use to split columns in the file, by default it uses the comma.

Persistent

Ask to store loaded files into persistent storage to be used when loading and to notify of new values when new files are loaded.

Channel

The name of the channel to store the files, on creation each card gets its own unique channel name, you can change it by editing it and selecting the "Apply" button.

Load file via drag & drop

Drag a file and drop it into the card's drop area to load it, the drop area should highlight while dragging.

Load file via file picker

Alternatively you can click the drop area to open a file picker and select the file there.

Persistent overview: Store in channel?

Persistent cards will ask you if you want to store the data into a channel.

Data stored in a channel will load automatically when a deck or dashboard that depends on cards configured with the same channel name is loaded, they will also get new values when you store new files, this will make dashboards, charts and decks reflect the latest data as soon as it is stored.

Test persistence with another card

To test that persistence works you can store a file and reload the deck, the value should appear again.

You can also create a new CSV card, configure the same channel, apply the change and store a new file into the other card, as soon as you confirm the data should appear on the second card.
